The Core

One of the few highlights of Episodes I - III was Ewan McGregor's dead-on Obi Wan impersonation, which always made me think of Peter Sellers' 'Smith' - an Interview with Sir Eric Goodness, bringing to mind humorous visions of 13th century Persian mystics, the core, and bongo practice when, perhaps, I should have been focused on midi-chlorians and Jar Jar Binks.
If you capture the core, and go out thoroughly satisfied from your listening, than you may well want to hear these as well:
Axel Zwingenberger

The Beatles

Champion Jack Dupree

Charlie Byrd

Coleman Hawkins

Dave Edmunds

Django Reinhardt

Dukes of Dixieland

Duke Ellington

Enoch Light

Fats Domino

Jo Ann Castle

Ken Griffin

The Kentucky Colonels

Louis Prima

Leon Redbone

Lou Monte
Marcel Dadi

The Rosenberg Trio

Sidney Bechet

Spike Jones

The Suntones

Teddy Wilson

i can't wait to listen through all of these.
and the pictures are priceless. damn well curated.
by the way, your Leon Redbone link doesn't go to an MP3.
if you put that up, can you drop me a line to let me know?
thanks for all your work.

Suntones? Looks like Ralph Cramden, Ed Norton and a couple of other members of the Royal Order of the Racoons...

Would be terribly cranky to ask for one download link for all the tracks?

My wife would like to thank you for that compilation. And I would too. Well done.
Ay carumba, you've done this song proud! What a noble history of fun.

Fabulous! however, you're missing Jack Teagarden's inspired take on the Sheik - made w/ Benny Goodman with Big T on vocal and trombone -
Another indispensable version is by Fats Waller, the Sheik, the Shake, the Shook!
GREAT! Thanks. Hey, could you do the same type of thing with Danny Boy? I'm trying to find as many versions as possible. And St. Patty's day is coming up. And my name is Dan.
I like it, too!
jAKAsso!
Don't know when the recordings were made, but Marcel's version is available on the import La Guitare a Dadi V.2
The woman with Spike Jonew is Ruth Foster, AKA Ruthie James.
