Genesis v. Phil Collins
In 1980, Genesis released Duke, which featured a song called "Behind the Lines". A year later, Phil Collins included the song on his solo debut, Face Value.

When the Phil version came out I was as scandalized as a twelve-year-old nerd could be (thank heavens there weren't any blogs); now I hear it less as an abomination, and more as an entirely forgettable bit of album filler. Wonder what extras might be on the inevitable double-SACD reissue?
Love the site, the breadth is refreshing.
