I'm not sure what it is — the "J-I-N-G-L-E Bells" spelling, the sweet background vocals of the Ralph Brewster Singers, or the right-on 'jingle belling' arrangement of Gordon Jenkins — that makes this one of the best holiday songs I've ever heard.
But, I know when I hear it, the mass-marketing dirtiness of the x-mas mayhem mess melts away to reveal a happier, clean snow-covered season. All the way!
