
The hilarious 8-minute video of
Tom Cruise talking about Scientology brings to mind Owen Wilson's portrayal of the spaced out male model Hansel more than anything. He's giggly and incoherent, but the up-close view of someone's faith is fascinating to watch.
As we've said with regards to Stockhausen and the whole Sirius thing, it doesn't really matter what someone's personal faith is. When you look Christianity or Hinduism or even Scientology in the eye and try to comprehend it rationally, you are in for the 'rough & tumble', as Cruise says. Hats off to him for sharing his beliefs.
But a wag of the finger to the Scientologists who produced the video, first for looping the same two bars of the
Mission Impossible theme for 8 minutes, and second for bragging about Cruise spreading the faith to 1 billion people while trying desperately to pull the clip from YouTube.
