STEPHEN BOUMA, Composer & Organist
Organist at the First Central Congregational Church in Omaha, Bouma has been writing music for over twenty years, mostly choral compositionsin a neoclassical style. With premieres at three separate American Choral Director's Association regional conventions, he has received commissions from Hastings High School, the AIM Foundation, and the Clarion Chamber Chorale.
Bouma studied composition with Randall Snyder, Robert Beadell, and Jean Henderson. He earned a Masters of Music from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Bachelors of Music from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
