MARCIA KAMPER, Flutist
ANALOG's Financial Director, Marcia Kämper is currently Second Flute in the
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She performed with the orchestra on their
October 2005 tour of Spain, Italy, Slovenia, and Austria under music
director Yuri Temirkanov. In 2002 she won her first full-time orchestral
position as Second Flute / Piccolo with the Omaha Symphony and has performed
several concertos on subscription concerts with the Omaha Symphony Chamber
Orchestra. Marcia has also performed flute and piccolo in recitals and
orchestra concerts in Door County, Wisconsin at the Peninsula Music Festival
and at the Collegium Musicum at the Schloss Pommersfelden in Germany.
She attended the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts in Nevada and, while
in high school, performed concertos with the Henderson Civic Symphony, Las
Vegas Youth Orchestra, Las Vegas Music Festival and won the Las Vegas Flute
Club Competition.
Marcia earned two degrees from Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland.
While there, she won the Washington DC Flute Club Competition and was
twice-awarded the Britton Johnson Memorial Flute Prize. Currently she
performs with (and co-directs) ANALOG, a collective of musicians and artists
from around the world. Mrs. Kämper also is an instrumental director and
performer of Omaha’s only new music festival ARTSaha!
